Floorable Hawaiʻi is the result of a journey that began in 1997, in the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a few flooring samples, a lot of hustle, and a belief that there was a better way to serve customers.

Over the next two decades, that small operation grew into one of the largest flooring companies in the United States. That business was founded and built by Stephen Kellogg, who was directly involved in every part of the operation—sales, operations, logistics, installation, and most importantly, global sourcing. For nearly 20 years, Stephen has worked directly with manufacturers and suppliers around the world, building relationships that allowed him to control quality, innovate on product design, and eliminate unnecessary layers of cost.

That experience is the foundation of Floorable Hawaiʻi.

When Stephen chose to bring Floorable to Maui, the goal wasn't to replicate a big-box showroom or a mainland retail model. It was to do things smarter, leaner, and more intentionally—focused on products that truly perform in Hawaiʻi's climate and a process that respects the customer's time and investment.

That decision was solidified through a personal experience. While sourcing flooring and window coverings for his own home in Maui, Stephen met Mhel Vieth, a born-and-raised Maui resident with more than 30 years of design experience on the island. A graduate of the San Francisco School of Design, Mhel brings a rare combination of world-class design training and deep local understanding of how island homes truly live. Her desire to find a better, more thoughtful way to serve customers aligned perfectly with Stephen's vision—and became one of the key reasons Floorable Hawaiʻi was launched.

Mhel Vieth is Floorable Hawaiʻi's Lead Designer, providing design-forward guidance grounded in functionality, durability, and local insight. She works closely with homeowners, property managers, and builders to create interiors that are cohesive, practical, and well suited for island living.

Stephen is joined by Mike Magnani, who brings over 30 years of flooring experience. Having worked alongside Stephen for more than 20 years, Mike plays a key role in day-to-day operations and project execution, and is committed to clear communication, problem-solving, and making sure every customer feels supported from start to finish.

Floorable Hawaiʻi is also built with a team that brings deep experience both in the flooring and interiors industry and here in the islands. The team understands the realities of working in Hawaiʻi—from humidity and salt air to construction logistics, timelines, and local expectations. That combination of industry knowledge and island experience allows Floorable Hawaiʻi to guide customers with confidence and avoid costly mistakes before they happen.
